I was very lucky to
be featured on My Street Chic. The website allows you to post your looks and
have people vote and comment on them, I was thrilled to find out my first look
got entered to be Street Chica of the week (the winner winning £40 to spend on
I was excited to find
out later that I had won J . They
asked to interview me as well for their “what’s hot this week” section.
The weekend at home was so good..
My own bed, a decent shower, proper food , and snuggling with the boy. I’ve
found though it’s equally as nice to be back at Uni, being surrounded by new
people and having lectures (yes ….I enjoy lectures I'm strange!).
This outfit was something I wore
a few weeks back when the boy came to visit me up North. I love the oatmeal
colours together with the mix of light sheer fabric and knit textures.
The Miss Selfridge dress I got in
the sale a while back, I have cut the bottom of it off as it was slightly too
long. I really like the raw edge to it now although it unravels through out the
My jumper is Topshop, my shoes
are JC Lita’s, the rings are from random markets and my earrings are from Next.
Ive got a presentation on the brand Acne next Friday so better get researching.
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments they really keep me going and brighten up the day :)
top All Saints, Trousers Marks and Spencer, Necklace Market, Shoes Jeffrey Campbell Spool from Office
I threw on this outfit before a
lecture and quickly took some outfit pictures, I then opened my curtains to see
the sun was shining and I had to rethink the leather trousers!
The top is from All Saints, it
comes down to my knees so to avoid looking like a midget I have to tuck the
front of it in or belt it. You can’t really see from the pictures but it has
great split sleeves and a foil skull motif on the front.
Now to the shoes, your probably
thinking “hmmm I haven’t seen those on the blog before …. I thought she was a
student …. How can she be buying shoes!?” , well these Jeffrey Campbell’s
were £25 in the office sale, so I used last weeks going out money on them J they remind me of 90’s Spice Girl boots!
I’m going home on Friday and cant
wait to sleep in my own bed; I’m also going to see Bon Iver in London, which
should be great.
Oh and Happy Birthday to my younger brother Nathan he turns 18
The weather has been so strange
up here in Nottingham, we had a massive heat wave, then rain and now cold
It has made getting dressed a bit
of a mission. This week ive been picking my clothes based on comfort as I have
been rushing to lectures and seminars…. I say rushing as I still don’t now
where all the lecture theaters are and they like to put your classes in a
different building each day.
Anyway I’m sure I will get used
to it J
About the outfit the skirt is
from the Miss Selfridge sale, the top is from Cyprus, the shoes are Jeffrey
Campbell Brisbane boots and the shirt… is Ralph Lauren and I found it in a
charity shop for £2!
This weekend I’m planning to
spend my first lot of Zalando vouchers! I still can’t believe I won £300 a month for a year!!! Its crazy,
and with so much on their website its going to be a hard job to choose exactly
what I want!
The boy came to see
me last weekend at uni as I mentioned in my previous post. So finally I had my
photographer for a few days, we took as many pictures as possible, most of the
pictures were taken in this park behind my halls, it's so pretty, it has a big pond, fountains, gardens and lots of little woodland paths.
The dress is a new
purchase from H and M. I’m loving snake print at the moment, I found some
amazing snake print tops in charity shops for as little as £1.50!
I teamed the dress
with my Acne wedges, Miss Selfridge biker jacket , YLS Arty ring and a hat from
the All Saints sale.
Uni has stepped in to
full gear; I have 2 group projects and a stylathlon all going on at the moment…
So many mood boards :P
Hope everyone is
having a good week J and
thank you for the lovely comments about my Zalando win!
These pictures I just
found on my computer along with some others from before I went to uni !
Lucky really as I have
been so busy it’s been hard to take many pictures.
This weekend the boy
left behind his uni to come and visit me :) it’s been so nice seeing someone that gets me completely.
This is one of my
favourite outfits at the moment, a sling on maxi and jumper combo. This maxi dress is from New Look, the
jumper is from Urban Outfitters and my shoes are Jeffrey Campbell woven Lana's.
My jewellery is the usual
market mix. My silver cross is from my favourite jewellers In Cyprus. The fox
tail on my bag is from EBay.
And about the hair…..
I have been wearing my hair like this since I was about 5 years old. Its sort
of Hansel and Gretel meets MK Olsen.
Ok so these are the first set of photos taken at uni in my new room :) . It was a bit of a mission as I’m used to the boy, my mum or brother taking my pictures, so setting up my tripod and using a self timer took a bit of getting used to.
Its been so boiling for the past few days, luckily today its got a bit cooler. I left all my summer clothes at home as I was told it was freezing up north!
This was one of my thrown together “summer” outfits. The little top is from Primark, I love the low peter pan collar as high necklines don’t really suit my shape (they make me look like I have a shelf under my chin). The shorts are my DIY levis, and the shoes are JC Tardy’s.
The little cross necklace was a present from the boy and I have been wearing it to death at uni as it reminds me of him (mushy I know… feel free to vom). The spike earrings are from Asos.
It was the official start of my university course on Monday and it’s been all go! We had a group presentation on Tuesday and I have lectures everyday except for today, so it seemed like the perfect time for some retail therapy with my 20% student discount!!Bye bye student loan :P
