Berlin Trip

Hello everyone, it’s great to be back and blogging!
Berlin was truly amazing! I saw some remarkable artwork in a few of Berlins many galleries, although didn’t get to as many as I wanted to but I literally couldn’t fit any more stuff into my day!
I managed to go and see the Brandenburg gate, The Berlin Wall and the Reichstag building (houses of Parliament), which where all incredible to see after learning about them in History for so many years!

The galleries had some very inspiring artwork. It was so great to be able to see Andy Warhol’s work in real life! I also really enjoyed the work of Robert Rauschenberg, Helmut Newton, Alice Springs, Jules Olitski, Bruce Nauman and Mark Rothko, there are many more brilliant arts I saw but these few really stood out to me!

I loved Berlin culture; it was very different to London. The Christmas markets were truly lovely and had some great food and lovely little things to buy. I bought jewellery, I’m a bit of a magpie I love all things shiny.

Going out at night in Berlin was great, we went to this strange artist’s squat that had graffiti all over the walls and it had a bar attached, it was one of the coolest places, although I do regret staying there till 4am and having to get up at 7am, I was not a happy bunny being woken up that morning.
