British museum pictures Wall Artwork, Camden Market Last Picture, My buys from camden market |
Pictures as promised J
I had a day in London with the boy, I got all my college work done in the British Museum, and I left feeling inspired for my new project.
Above are a few of the pictures I took. I loved looking at the Traditional dress and jewellery from the Balkans that dated from the 1800 to the early 1900. They believed the type and quantity of their jewellery and clothing resembled their position in society.
I also really liked the Oman Jewellery from the 1950’s (seen in pictures 8-12), the chunky silver and ornate design reminded me of some of the latest jewellery in Urban Outfitters (here). What do you think?
Some of the jewellery above is based on pieces in the museum but has been made in versions to sell in the British Museum shop. I wanted to buy most of it, I’m drooling over the snake bracelet.
We went to Camden market as well, (the last picture is a few of my finds) I got a dream catcher, some great jewellery and a white crochet/loose knit maxi skirt which I’m saving for the summer J
All in all a brill day.
